Sacha Paddy writes:
Lyrical is the Rhythm of Lightness of Being!
It is the light shining luminous through the clouds after the storm of Chaos, after we have let go of tensions and struggles in the dance we naturally lift into Lyrical.
It can be profoundly expanding as we move beyond a sense of self-consciousness, it can also be playful, joyful, unique, fascinating. We often explore repetitions of movement in the dance of Lyrical, letting the soul speak in its patterns through the body. Every culture that still dances has repetitions in those dances, movements that become so patterned that we can loose ourselves in them and let the dance simply happen. We can then drop out of doing the dance into being the dance.
If this all sounds elusive and intangible, well Lyrical can be like that – it happens or it doesn’t, we can practice tools to help it arise but we can’t make it happen. Bringing every aspect of ourselves into the light is the work of Lyrical, holding each experience with lightness, being able to shift into whatever happens next without holding onto what was going on a moment ago. Dancing into the light!
